These are birds I've been drawing recently (more to show you soon) which I want to make into print soon, and other various things! I love drawing birds, I think birds and architecture are my favourite subjects but I just love drawing in general :)
With making a print, I wasn't sure if I should use one bird and repeat, or should I use all the birds (there are another three to add to these, making it 6 birdies [all finches] in total) into one print?
I started this drawing a while ago, and when going through old magazines came across this in the middle! Lucky that I didn't just throw the magazine out. So I'm looking forward to finishing this and showing you again soon. Hopefully I won't leave my blogging as long as last time. I'm hoping to blog once a week or fortnight now :)

I hope you like it Jess :) it's taken me quite a while actually to make this and collect pretty things for it :-/ hopefully next time I won't take as long and it will be better, once I get into the swing of things! Maybe then I can start making mail-art to more people... but at the moment I'm happy with just making and sending mail art to Jess :p

GREAT Cormorants!
I actually made these a couple weeks ago but only now getting round to blog posting about them, sooozzzz my bad! I was reminded to make this post cos I actually saw a Great Cormorant a couple of days ago. It was bootifuuullll! It was a juvenile though I think cos his chest was white. He was sunbathing then he went fishing in the water! It was amazing for how long it would stay underneath the water, and how far he could travel under the water.
ANYWAY that's enough on that. I'd like to draw more of these, so I'll get round to that in my new bigger square sketchbook, which I finally found! It's just a plain hardback black cartridge paper one, bout 8"x8" so i'm looking forward to filling it up with birdie wirdies!
I need your help with business cards!
Which do you prefer? Any suggestions are welcome (more than welcome, it would be great!)
raving ravens!
I've been drawing a lot of birds recently (more than usual!) and last week I started doing a lot of ravens (no reason in particular I just like 'em). I like making more than one drawing of a bird, because they're always different, and I like drawing them sitting, flying, close ups etc.! I've decided to start making a book/sketchbook of birds like this... so for each double page there'll be one bird, and maybe more I don't know I'll see how it goes! But I'll let you know when I've started cos I need a nice sketchbook first!
Next post I need your help about business cards for me, I've started to design some but can't decide on which design or what background!!!
Anyhoo, I hope you're all having a lovely weekend :)

Stop! Collaborate and listen. (Collaborative Project)
This is a collaboration I did with illustrator Bruce Parker (http://brucey-art.com/) over the last few weeks. This was the first collaboration I did, so it was a bit scary! I found it a bit difficult at the beginning trying to work around an illustration that is in a completely different style to mine. But once I got thinking, brainstorming, and sketching, it became easier. It was a challenge, but it was a good way to start working and thinking in different ways! I think they've turned out really well :) Now that I've done some I'd love to make some more!
If anyone else is interested in collaborating, let me know :)
Introduction into Bloggerland!
Paris Street View
. By meee! (aka Anna Gwenllian)
Hello! My name is Anna Gwenllian and as it says in the 'About Me' section I'm an illustrator/artist/drawer of things from North Wales.
.
I've finally made myself a blogger/blogspot blog! I've already got a tumblr blog (see
) but that's become a collection of images that inspire me, with some of my sketches in between rather than an actual blog. Tumblr isn't really a blog I can write on. I can't really make a post about an illustrator or artist with a lot of images, write about them, and allow people to respond back. They can 'like' it, and I guess they can reblog it, but at the end of the day it's just where people find funny/cute/interesting images to show others, more than an actual blog! Then there's twitter (my twitter is @AnnaGwenllian by the way), which is basically the same with a restriction of 140 characters to say anything etc. So making a real-life grown-up blogger blog is a place I can share my inspirations, write about new and old artists/illustrators/writers/maker-of-things while including imagery. A place where I can share what I've been upto properly, without twitter cutting me off mid-sentence and having to resort to speaking in text-talk LOLZ!!!
Now with this introduction post out of the way I can start blogging about other things... :)
